| | | Excessive sun will cause the material in saddlecloths/blankets to break down quicker over a period of time. This includes the foam as well as the outer materials in your saddle blankets, always try to dry in shade (this applies to all brands of saddlecloths/blankets, not just ours)
| | Horse hair on Just Ride © products will usually shake off easier straight after washing whilst the saddle cloths are still damp. Washing with towels or other fluffy type materials may cause fluff to be left on the material of your new saddle blanket, a clothes brush will help to remove this. | | Washing saddle cloths and saddleblankets on a windy day (with no rain) they will dry much quicker. | | Stains: If you have any stains on any product you can use Preen or similar product always check for colour fastness in a small area first, (where the saddle sits is a good place to check) or soak for 10 minutes in warm water with a quality wash powder is more preferrable or if you have marks on the top side of the saddle cloths or blankets you can also dissolve washing powder in a small amount of warm water and use sponge to wipe on the area of stain and let it sit for 5 minutes. | |  | | T/over Saddlecloth |  | | Pony Shaped |  | | Fleece Saddle Cloth |  | | Lunge Pad | | | Just Ride © - Easy Care Products | Washing Saddle Cloths has never been so easy! | | No need to hand wash this range of Saddle Cloths/Blankets which includes: Turnover Saddle Blankets, Pony Shaped Pads, Fleece Saddle Cloths, Felt 'n Foam Saddle Blankets and Lunge Pads (A large washing machine is required for Felt 'n Foam) | | Horse hair on Just Ride © products will usually shake off easier straight after washing whilst the saddle cloths are still damp. | | Fully Machine Washable in cold or luke warm water. When washed, simply take outside, shake and hang to dry. Shaking will loosen most of the hair that remains. Drying time for these is very short depending on the weather, warm day 15 to 30 minutes, on a cool day it will take longer depending on temperatures, these are ideal for washing the night before and hanging inside on the clothes hoist to be ready to use the next day. They truly are that easy! | | Felt n Foam Saddle Blankets will take longer to dry due to the felt, nowhere near as long as others though, the unique felt we use dries very quickly. Give a quick hose | | 2. Wash with a bit of soap like wool wash, remember that the more soap you use the more you need to rinse out (a cake of hand soap is also fine i.e. velvet) | | 3. Then hose off. Ensure you have rinsed all the soap out. | | 4. Washing Machine: We do not recommend washing these in a machine... we have washed this range in our machine but found continual washing on long/hard wash can cause some of the top/industrial material to pill, whilst it didnt happen on all and it did take some time to pill various machines will give various results and we don't recommend washing in machines... | | top of page

| CARING FOR OILSKIN STOCK SADDLE BLANKET | | The orthopaedic fleece underneath the oilskin saddle blanket can be washed the same as above saddle blankets... Stock & Harness - click here. The Oilskin itself is best with a quick wipe using a damp cloth rather than washing. | | Clothes Dryer:We do not recommend using a clothes drier as temperatures may be too hot and effect both the foam and the materials. Use a clothes brush to take off any hair or fluff. Kersey wool is well known for lasting colours and a long lasting material, with good care these will last you a long time. | | Even if you are wanting to wash just the fleece underneath we suggest that you still use warm water otherwise using cold water it may go through to the kersey wool and shrink it.
